What's New in TrackHabit
Every update, improvement, and fix — written for people, not developers.
Meet your HabitScore.
A brand-new score that reflects how consistent you really are across your goals — plus a way to see how your own guess compares to reality.
Your HabitScore, right on your Profile
New
A single score from 0 to 100 now lives on your Profile, showing how consistently you're completing your goals overall. It updates automatically as you go, and groups you into one of five bands — from Dormant to Flourishing — so you always know where you stand.
Guess before you look
New
The first time your HabitScore is ready, we'll ask you to guess it before showing you the real number. Comparing your instinct to reality is oddly satisfying.
Celebrate leveling up
New
Cross into a new HabitScore band and a short celebration lets you know. Small wins deserve a moment.
Track your score over time
New
The Reports tab has a new "Score" section: your trend over the last 3 months, 6 months, a year, or all time, plus a breakdown of how each individual goal is contributing to your overall score.
Know when you beat the odds
New
Complete an activity we predicted you were unlikely to finish, and TrackHabit lets you know you beat the odds. A little encouragement for the days you almost didn't show up.
Filter by goal. Cleaner first run.
A quick way to focus your dashboard on a single goal, plus a smoother, clearer path through your first few screens in the app.
Filter your dashboard by goal
New
Juggling more than one goal? A new row of chips above your dashboard lets you tap to see just one goal's activities at a time — or "All" to see everything together.
Onboarding tiles no longer look tappable when they're not
Improved
A few informational screens early in onboarding had cards that looked like buttons but weren't. They're now styled as plain info so it's obvious what you can actually tap.
Your onboarding button stays visible
Improved
On smaller screens, the main button to continue could get pushed below the fold. It's now pinned in place so it's always visible.
Start over on your goal, not just your schedule
Improved
If the AI-generated plan wasn't the right fit, you can now start over completely and enter a new goal — not just regenerate the same one's schedule.
Tracker-only dashboards now show the right empty state
Fixed
If your only goal was a tracker, your dashboard incorrectly prompted you to create a schedule you already had. Fixed.
Focus Mode: one activity at a time.
A redesigned dashboard puts your next activity front and center, adds one button for everything you want to add, and shows how likely you are to complete each activity.
A dashboard that leads with what's next
New
Your dashboard now opens with a single "next activity" card instead of a full list and calendar strip. Complete or skip it, then see what's coming up later today.
One button for everything you want to add
New
A new quick-add button lets you add a goal, log something, or generate a new AI goal — all from one place.
See how likely you are to complete an activity
New
Each activity now shows a colored ring based on your recent consistency with it, plus an arrow showing whether you're trending up or down.
A cleaner streak milestone celebration
Improved
Hitting a streak milestone now shows a simpler, centered card instead of a full-screen takeover — same celebration, less in your way.
Trackers are tappable again
Fixed
A dashboard update briefly made it impossible to tap a tracker to log it, and its "logged today" count stopped updating. Both are fixed.
AI-generated goals now start the same day you create them
Fixed
New goals from the AI planner sometimes wouldn't show as active until the day after you created them. Fixed — they're active from day one.
Faster, and fixed where it mattered.
A core framework upgrade for better performance and reliability, plus a fix for trending categories that weren't showing up for some new users during onboarding.
Faster and more stable under the hood
Improved
We upgraded the app's core framework to the latest version, improving overall performance and reliability across the board.
Trending categories now load correctly for new users
Fixed
Popular goal categories weren't showing up for some people during onboarding. Fixed — you'll now see trending category suggestions right away.
More accurate. More reliable.
Four fixes to how TrackHabit counts, remembers, and displays your tracker activity — so what you see always matches what actually happened.
More accurate missed-activity counts
Fixed
Completing one tracker could sometimes lower the missed count for a different, unrelated tracker, and undoing a completed or skipped activity didn't always restore the count correctly. Fixed — the numbers you see now reflect what's actually missed.
One-time trackers no longer flagged as missed forever
Fixed
"Just once" trackers were being counted as missed every day after creation instead of just their intended day. Fixed.
Editing a tracker no longer resets its schedule
Fixed
Changing a tracker's reminder time or daily target could accidentally reset its custom or weekly schedule days back to a default. Your actual schedule is now preserved.
Ended trackers no longer offer Complete/Skip
Fixed
Once a tracker's schedule has ended, its detail screen now shows it as inactive instead of still letting you mark it complete or skipped.
Plan your way. Track in a tap.
Custom plan lengths, a faster way to log your habits, and a tracker setup that takes half as many steps. Plus a fix for AI edits that weren't saving correctly.
Custom plan duration
New
You can now set any plan length from 1 to 52 weeks. A new "Custom" option appears alongside the standard duration chips — tap it and dial in exactly how long you want your plan to run. The default is still 8 weeks if you don't change a thing.
Tap to log, long-press for details
Improved
Tracker chips now log your activity on a single tap. Long-press (400ms) opens the detail view if you need it. Previously, tapping went to the detail screen — now the fastest action does the most common thing.
Tracker setup is now 2 steps
Improved
The tracker setup wizard has been simplified from 3 steps to 2. Schedule and reminders are now on one screen instead of two separate ones — less back-and-forth to get a new tracker running.
AI schedule edits now save correctly
Fixed
If you edited the AI-generated schedule before confirming, your changes weren't being saved — the original AI version was written instead. Fixed: what you confirm is exactly what gets saved.
Smarter onboarding. Better celebrations.
A completely redesigned first-run experience shows you what you're signing up for before you sign up. Plus: the dashboard now celebrates your wins every single day.
Redesigned welcome screen
New
Cleaner, warmer, and faster. Three things TrackHabit does for you are front and centre, grounded by a real community quote. You get straight to creating your habit without friction.
"How it works" explained before you start
New
A new screen walks you through exactly what happens next before you type your goal — set a goal, the AI generates daily activities, you track them. No surprises.
Preview reminders before agreeing
New
We now show every reminder — time and activity name — before asking for notification permission. You only say yes when you know exactly what you're saying yes to.
"You're all set!" welcome screen
New
After subscribing, a confirmation screen tells you your plan is ready, your reminders are set, and your streaks start today. A proper welcome deserves a proper moment.
"All done for today!" banner
New
Finish all your habits for the day and the dashboard celebrates with a full-width banner that knows your streak. "7-day streak — keep it up! 🔥" feels a lot better than a blank screen.
Streak milestone celebrations
New
Hit day 3, 7, 14 or 30 and a full-screen celebration fires — once, exactly when you hit it. Auto-dismisses after 6 seconds so it never gets in the way.
Schedule regeneration no longer resets your choices
Fixed
Tapping "Generate Again" used to undo every toggle you'd made. Your selections now survive a regeneration. A small toast confirms: "Your selections were preserved."
Faster everywhere.
Under the hood performance improvements that make the app feel significantly snappier, plus a notification reliability fix.
Dashboard loads faster
Improved
Goal data now loads in parallel rather than one at a time. Three active goals now fetch simultaneously — you'll notice it on launch.
Duplicate reminders — fixed
Fixed
A timing issue on some devices was causing activity reminders to fire twice. Your reminders are back to exactly-once.
App no longer reloads unnecessarily on foreground
Fixed
Opening TrackHabit after a quick app-switch used to trigger a full activity reload even when the date hadn't changed. Fixed — the app is smarter about when it needs to refresh.
Notification reliability.
Major improvements to how reminders are scheduled, preserved, and recovered.
Reminders now survive app restarts
Improved
Notifications that were being cleared on app restart are now preserved correctly. Your morning reminder for your 7am run stays scheduled — even after closing and reopening the app.
First-day nudge always fires on day one
Improved
New users now always get a nudge notification for their first activity, regardless of when the goal was created. Previously this could get lost if the goal was created late in the day.
Better AI schedules.
The AI now generates smarter, more realistic schedules — and your first activity appears the same day you create it.
AI generates more realistic, balanced schedules
Improved
The schedule generator has been significantly improved. Fitness schedules now include recovery days. Language learning plans balance active practice with passive listening. Finance goals include realistic milestone math. The output is meaningfully better across every category.
Your first activity now appears on day one
Fixed
Previously, AI-generated schedules sometimes started the following day — leaving your dashboard empty on the day you created your goal. Fixed: your first activity always appears today.
Redesigned onboarding.
The fastest, clearest path from download to first habit. The entire first-run experience was rebuilt from scratch.
New onboarding flow — cleaner and faster
Improved
You now go straight from the welcome screen to entering your goal — no extra steps, no unnecessary screens. The AI builds your schedule, you confirm it, done.
Better schedule preview
Improved
The schedule preview screen now shows how many activities are selected and which ones at a glance. Deselected activities dim to 50% so the difference is obvious. Selection count is shown in brand green, top right.
Your plan starts today.
A small but important fix — your first habit now always starts today, not tomorrow.
First activity always starts today
Fixed
The AI was occasionally scheduling your first habit for the following day, leaving nothing to do on the day you created your goal. Fixed: your plan starts the moment you create it.
Analytics and account fixes.
Engagement tracking improvements and subscription account handling fixes.
Streak milestones now tracked
Improved
The app now tracks when you hit day 7, day 30, and day 100 streaks — building toward streak milestone celebrations and personalised messages coming in a future update.
Sign-out now fully resets subscription state
Fixed
Signing out now correctly resets RevenueCat and Superwall subscription state, preventing a rare issue where a signed-out device could show incorrect subscription status.
